Rules

General rules.

  • Villa Pond is open from 7am to 10pm or dusk (whichever is the earliest). There is no night fishing. We have Carp up to 30lb, Tench, Ide, Roach and Rudd. 

  • The cost is £5 per person per day or part day. The money will be collected at your peg. Any person returning the next day must pay for a second day.

  • You MUST dip your landing net in the tank provided before fishing.

  • Parking is restricted to the general parking area (access can be arranged for the disabled by prior arrangement on each occasion, you must ring 07785 558167). Otherwise no vheicles may leave the parking area.

  • Litter must be removed or placed in the bin in the parking area. Please remove cigarette ends from your peg.

  • No fires or stoves, no radios or excessive noise, no shouting and no cycling. Please respect the wildlife on and around the pond.

  • Dogs are not allowed except by special arrangement.

  • Children under 14 years of age must be supervised by an adult unless special arrangements have been previously made.

Fishing rules

  • Only barbless hooks may be used, maximum size 10.

  • You MUST dip your net in the tank provided before fishing.

  • Fish must be returned to the water with care and respect. Anyone throwing or dropping fish into the water will be asked to leave.

  • Anyone removing fish from the site WILL be prosecuted.

  • No keep nets.

  • Each individual must have a landing net which should be carp friendly. Landing nets cannot be shared between pegs.

  • Ground bait is allowed in moderation. Cat and dog food is banned. Floating bread may be used but only on the hook and only in the last two hours before closing. Dog biscuits may be used in moderation.

  • No cloths to be used when handling fish.

  • Maximum 2 rods per person (both rods to be located on the same peg).

  • No wading.

  • Net and hook inspections will regularly take place.

  • No surface feeding until 2 hours before closing.

All vehicles are parked entirely at their owner’s risk. The owners of the pond will not accept liability for any loss or damage to property or injury to persons howsoever caused. The owners reserve the right to amend these rules without notice.
